Evie's Animal Planet

A warm afternoon this past week brought out the push mower and wildlife in our own backyard. Evie was a big help - racing me back and forth across the yard with the mower, cheering up the grass with her bubble mower, showing me each leaf that I still need to rake, and of course, providing great wildlife commentary on her most recent discovery. Enjoy the show. And remember, no animals were hurt in the making of this documentary, though maybe just a little stunned.

Birthday Blog (2 weeks late!)

So sorry to be so late in posting. At this point, its really too late to write anything sweet and wonderful or witty, so we'll just show you the pictures and move on. And really, it does seem like we've got a lot of good stuff we've been waiting to post until we got this birthday one out of the way. Evie's vocabulary is growing like mad, and according to the last weigh in at her two year checkup, she's in good shape as well. Who needs to eat, right?

But what we lack in timeliness, we make up for in dazzling technology! Behold, our first Photobucket slideshow!

This weekend, we took a quick trip over the pass to Plain, Washington. There we caught up with some old friends and went for a couple of snow-related treks. Evie got packed around for her first cross-country skiing and snowshoeing adventures. The biggest adventure of all had to be getting bundled up to go out in her bibs, heavy coat and borrowed snow boots.



Evie did a great job of pointing out dog poo on the freshly fallen snow from her lookout post . . .


. . . and dutifully tried to disappear in the family shot.
