TWO!

Arun turned 2 on October 30th! We decided to celebrate a week early so as to not compete with Halloween for party goers and it paid off. We had a house full of friends and a bouncy house full of kids.
The excellent day began with Jen making a birthday cake and our taste testers helping out.

We then got to carve our pumpkins. Evie drew the pictures, I carved and the kids "distributed" pumpkin seeds and guts. Our pumpkin heads.

Then the party got started.

The gift opening went well with Evie being a great helper and gift hander and Arun figuring out how to eventually open them. He was excited about seeing new things but one thing took the cake. You can see in this photo his mouth actually saying "BAAAAAGGGGG!!!!" with unencumbered enthusiasm.

Meemee (my mom) decided a while ago that he needed his own carry on since we'll actually have to start buying him a plane ticket now that he's two. He knew exactly what it was and immediately took off around the house in a tear pushing and pulling and chanting, "BAG! BAG! BAG!"

And then the cake...

It was a great time to celebrate both his second birthday and the almost 11 months we've had him in our lives (physically that is.) Great times. We are so blessed by our little man. But don't take my word for it, take his...
