Sunday Best

This morning marked something of a watershed for young Evie June, aged seven months, four days. Today, she stepped into a long line of Sunday morning tradition--she stepped into her first pair of tights.
I can remember Sunday mornings around my house, wriggling into a pair of nylon tights to match whatever dress my sister had outgrown (usually SEVERAL years earlier). I remember tugging dutifully at my elephant ankles where the tights sagged on my too skinny legs. I remember my early rebellions against these goofy ensembles. Most of all, I remember my silent vow to never do that to my own children.
But none of that matters when she's this cute and can't yet complain. Plus, the diaper handily prevents any wedgie action.

I think you might have the cutest baby in the world. And those tights (especially the chubby ankle action) are breathtaking.

Oh! My friend Laurie left you a post! She's got a really funny blog!
My mom used to put me in those tights, too. I remember being lifted in the air by only the tights as she tried to shake me in them. And I also remember that the ones I liked with dots all over them made me itch. I think I subconsciously felt like I had bites on me.
I love Evie June!

Evie June,
Accessories! Where are your accessories? Matching purse, hair bow and I have to know.....do your tights have ruffles on the back?
