Body (and post!) by Baby

So its been three weeks since my mom and dad updated the blog. I try to be patient with them, but sometimes a baby's gotta take things into her own chubby, slobbery little hands.

A quick update before I get into the post and pictures: I was in the newspaper--something about teachers who blog but my picture was on the front page. Mom went to Tennessee to work for a week teaching teachers how to use technology. MeeMee came and stayed with me and Daddy (more on that later). Daddy's been busy building stuff and playing with me. I have my first ear infection and have been enjoying 3 cc's of yummy orange stuff thrice daily. Mom has a cold, too, but I won't share my medicine with her. I've been sleeping through the night for the last two months--down at 7:30, up at 6--and napping a couple of times a day (usually). And I'm up to fourteen and a half pounds of solid baby muscle.

That's right, muscle. A long time ago (back when my parent's blogged more often because, well, they didn't have me), my daddy wrote a post all about his daily workout routine in India. Now it's my turn to share my fitness secrets with you.

1. Toe touches. A good bit of stretching every chance you get does wonders. Just look at those rolls of steel . . .

2. Jumping. I like to get a good hour in the morning in on my jumper . . .

and I've got the thighs to prove it.

3. Rolling. Back to front, front to back, I do it all now. Great for the core.

4. A good daily run. I've been missing this since mom got sick, but we're doing a half-marathon in September. The best part is, since mommy has to push, I always win!

5. A cool down swim. Nothing like a good splash and dolphin wrestling to finish off a workout.

6. Push ups. Gotta keep those upper arms in shape. Bottle presses work well, too, but mom can't get a picture because she has to spot me.

That's it. Just think what five months of a liquid diet and these exercises could do for you. I'm not saying you'll double your body weight like I did, but you can dream.
Love,
Evie June

Hi baby girl!
I am so glad that you finally took matters into your own hands to update the blog. I think you definitely have a future in writing!

I am very impressed with your workout ~ do you think that you could design one for Aunt M? I am glad to see that you didn't forget your keys when you went for the jog ~ always an important thing to remember.

I hope your ear is feeling better. I heard of the cool way daddy figured out to let you take it. Is mommy feeling better? Remember, it is OK not to share a cold.

I love you very much and I can't believe how much you are growing every time I see a new picture. Meemee showed me her pictures of you and it made me miss you even more. Get better and I hope to talk to you soon. Give hugs to mommy and daddy for me and remember that I love and miss you very much.

Love,
Aunt M

What's your address again, Evie June? Because I think I might have to steal you. Or at least report you to the Adorableness Police for excessive adorableness.

Nice job with the workouts, by the way. You look spectacular!

Love,
Auntie Bleb
