The Bradbury Highlights
Hey everyone. Its been a while since we blogged, and the last two weeks have been packed tighter than Evie June's diaper after a 10 hour sleep. Like that example, there's only one way to handle this--dive right in.
We're the proud, proud parents of a six-month old who's trending in the 45th percentile. Evie had her checkup this week and now measures 25 and a quarter inches, weighs 15 pounds, eight ounces, and sports a 19 inch diameter noggin. We also got to give her her first taste of semi solid food last night with a treat of rice cereal. She loved it, though she'd rather dive bomb the spoon herself than allow the plane to fly into the hanger.

Over Labor Day, We also enjoyed a visit from Todd, Jimmy's oldest friend and Evie's honorary uncle. Though we all came down with colds, we still managed to have some fun anyway.
Here, Evie learns never to pull anyone's finger, especially if its an honorary uncle asking . . .

. . . and here she learns that her father has in fact ALWAYS been this silly.

School has started back up and we're into new routines and adventures. Evie spent some time on campus helping me get my room ready. (Stapling is not her strong suit).

Since I'm teaching half-time that means she gets to spend four hours every morning at Mrs. Shari's. She seems to like it fine. She kicks her legs and squeals when we arrive, and only fusses when I obstruct her view of the ceiling fan when I kiss her goodbye. Here we are on the first day of school and daycare.

Evie and I have been training for a half-marathon for a while, and today was race-day. Sadly, my running partner couldn't join me in the race, but she did give me a few pointers before the start.

Jimmy and Evie met me at different spots along the course, inspiring admiration from my fellow runners. "You're doing great for giving birth six months ago!" I did not correct them. Otherwise, my 2:11 would not have seemed nearly as impressive.

Finally, its Jimmy's 33rd birthday. Evie and I gave him a nap.
That's love.
Jen

Happy birthday to Jimmy, and hooray for Jen! I am very impressed by the half-marathon. I remember hearing some sort of story about the first time you ran 5 miles, and I think it involved vomit. (Lest you think I'm making fun, please note that I have never run 5 miles in my life.)
How does Evie June keep getting cuter?

Happy Birthday!! Jimmy, you look fantastic as well. Jen, way to go on your time. I'm so ignorant I have no idea if it's good or not. But I believe it's safe to assume it's awesome!

Hey Jimmy, happy birthday!
I am sorry to inform you that your contract with GQ may be in jeopardy due to your lack of formal attire. Please inform Todd of this recent development.
Mom didn't have the heart to break it to you so I am just the messanger. :)
Love you,
~Monica
p.s. Congratulations on the run Jen! Evie looked like a great water girl!
