Evelyn June Presents...

In the fine tradition of Alfred Hitchcock (where he always made one brief and passing appearance in everyone of his sketches), Evie June is going to introduce you to her very own bedroom. Your job is two-fold: first you are to ooh and aah over how dang cute her room is and secondly, if you're keenly perceptive, find the baby.

Oh the mountain of Pampers she's leveled on this changing table.


Yo, yo, her crib where she kicks it with her blankies.


No drawers = no mystery. Do you think she's got enough pink outfits?


And finally, her dirty clothes basket. We recently realized the reason that she's still so small is that we've been washing and drying her clothes with her IN them. That dryer really shrinks her up. Just kidding. Really.

She's already taking after her old man (that'd be me) by outfitting her room with thrift store goods. A fresh layer of paint made the crib, changing table, rocker, stool, bookshelf and end table look brand new. Her Meemee (my mom) hand made the curtains, reupholstered the cushions and pillows on the rocker, and sewed liners for all of her baskets. Jen likes to refer to the shabby-chic room as "Princess-On-A-Dime." It's good that Evie June is already conscientious about saving money for things that truly matter . . .
