Oh Baby!
You should know that everything about this adoption was completely unexpected. We'd actually just finished our application adopt from India (a step that is still part of our plan, but just further down the road now), and we're on the waiting list when we got the call from West Virginia about this little girl. That was in November, and over the course of the next five months, we experienced the anxiety and expectation common to many growing families. But we felt a peace about the process all along and it led us to an amazing journey and a perfect, healthy, mesmerizing little girl. And the suprises haven't stopped. I didn't expect to enjoy getting up with her at night. I didn't expect that a multitasking freak like me could stay in her sweats all day long just to cuddle a little girl. I didn't expect to get so excited about poopy diapers, burps, or pink.
Words, words, words, right Jason?
So as the proud, goofy, mesmerized parents of a 25 day old little girl, we can only do one thing: bombard you with photos. So here's Evie June showing off her growing skill set.
Backstroking . . . I'm pretty sure she could do a flip turn if we'd just let her float.

Tolerating wierd family rituals . . . the annual Bradbury photo.

Sleeping . . . ahhh.

Eating . . . note the milk mustache.

Receiving mail from an adoring fan base.

Driving . . . first a crane . . .

. . . then a tractor.

Talking to Daddy on the phone (as of Saturday, she's also cordless!)

And smiling!

Check back soon to see what else Evie June learns!
